我今年申请上了纽约大学帝势艺术学院。一直以来我都非常喜欢数字媒体与电影制作。在我大学的申请准备中，我创作了第一部关于探索家乡上海的纪录片。受到上海城市快速更迭的吸引，我希望能通过老一辈人与Z时代年轻人两个不同的视角来讲述城市故事。影片的编辑风格也试图在突出这两个群体人本身的对比，因而延伸至城市变革的对比。在将近三个月的时间里我自己负责了制片、导演、拍摄、选角的所有步骤。同样在我创作的《我舞蹈因为我悲伤》这部短片中，选择以一位舞者为主角。两部作品我都尝试探索不同的电影制作过程的美学风格，以一种平静、缓慢的节奏循循渐进的讲述我想表达的故事。

I am accepted by Collaborative arts in Tisch, NYU. I am always very interested in digital media and filmmaking. Therefore, throughout my application process, I have created my first documentary piece exploring my hometown Shanghai. I am always fascinated by the idea of gentrification within the city. Therefore, I have created this documentary exploring the idea of gentrification via the perspective of visual story telling from two generation. The Older generation vs GEN Z. The editing style within my film also reflected the contrast between the two groups of people. I have produced, directed, shot, casted my film myself over a span of 3 months. As for my other short film ‘ I dance because I am lost’， it is based on a dancer. I wanted to experiment the different use of aesthetic within film making therefore documentaries are used very calming and slow pace as well as following a narrative approach.
